War Drums

Vision on May 4, 2008

4:00 – 5:00 a.m.

I was sleeping when I was awakened by the sounds of drums. First I heard the beating of drums as if it were far away. I thought to myself as I lay in bed, why would the neighbors be playing drums this early in the morning? Then I heard the sound of the drums getting louder and louder and I realized it sounded like tribal drums increasing in intensity. Finally as the sound grew closer I started speaking in tongues. It was so real that I thought someone was going to walk into my place actually playing drums!

During this time I realized that I was awake, but I couldn’t open my eyes. All of a sudden the drums stopped and as I lay in bed I had a vision in black and white. I saw bombs being dropped onto the land below.  I saw what looked like a spiritual warfare in the air, like if to prevent the bombs, but there were many bombs being dropped all over.

I asked the Lord, where is this taking place? Why, what does this mean?   It felt as if this (the bombs being dropped) were taking place while I lay there.  My eyes then opened, as I lay in bed, wondering what this vision meant. I said a quick prayer, “Lord please tell me what does this mean, what was that sound I heard?” I was so exhausted, I fell asleep quickly.

Shortly thereafter I got up to get ready for church, about 8:30 a.m. As soon as I woke up, the Holy Spirit whispered to me, war drums. I would have never thought war drums, but then it made sense. War is close, even at our doorsteps. Certainly there are many wars occurring already around the world, but what I saw were bombs being dropped.
