The Bridegroom is at the Door

Dream around 2002 – 2003

I dreamed I was in an upper chamber, it looked like an attic. Kind of reminded me of an attic where Cinderella was getting ready.  I was wearing a white dress, but it was dirty! I remembered I saw that it was soiled and torn. But the funny thing was that I was comfortable with that dress, (comfortable with sin) as I recall it felt like an old pair of jeans, worn in and comfy.

There was someone there with me in the attic, or upper room. I don’t remember who, but I was talking to this person and kind of fussing as if I didn’t want to change. (I realize later this was the Holy Spirit) However, this person was adamant about me putting on a beautiful white wedding gown. As I was changing into this white wedding gown, finally giving in to removing the old gown, all of a sudden I sensed someone was coming.

Matthew 25:6 – “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him”.

I looked up and I saw a door. It was a wooden door. I sensed that there was someone behind that door, it was Jesus.  He was about to open the door and come in. I rushed quickly to get that white wedding dress on as fast as I could and my friend (the Holy Spirit) standing beside me was helping me.

I woke up with the thought, I need to remove all sin from my life and get right with the Lord. Jesus is coming soon for his bride, get ready, get sin out of your life and walk holy, he desires a holy bride.  Are you ready?

1 Pet. 1:15-16—…but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”

What’s amazing is that at the time of the dream I didn’t know about the Jewish wedding customs or anything about a chamber, yet there it was in my dream.

Here is some additional reading about the Jewish wedding custom and the parallel to the church.  Enjoy!

John 14:2 –  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:3 – And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
