All Blows Away

Dream on April 3rd 2009

During my bible reading and study the Lord gave me this word:  preserve

Psa 121:7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

Deu 6:24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as [it is] at this day.

Psalm 119:37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.

Psalm 31:23 Love the LORD, all his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud he pays back in full.

After my reading of the word I fell asleep and had the following dream.

All Blows Away – Storm

Although I do not know where I was I dreamed of a massive storm blowing, a big wind, almost like a hurricane but there was no rain, only a very strong wind of the hurricane strength. This wind came and blew over all of the cities. Everything in its path was knocked down. I saw homes, flying, cars, trees, everything, and in addition the power went out. Then as the wind was blowing everything it started to grow dark outside, physically dark in the skies. I came inside (my home), as if urged it is now time to go inside. I began to pray in the spirit to the Lord. Then as I was inside my home praying I realized the darkness was not just outside, it was everywhere (physically and spiritually dark).

So I prayed even harder, kneeling and continued praying in the spirit and as I did, I closed my eyes and just buried myself in the Lord, deep within. With my eyes closed my spirit man could see everything outside continue to be swept away, blown away, there was complete devastation. I saw a few people that I knew their faces flashed before me (one I was surprised, as she is a Christian), and they were swept away in the storm.

“…my soul silently waits for God… He only is my ROCK and my salvation.” Psalm 62:1-2

As I was praying I realized this, the darkness was so thick, the devastation was so total that the only thing keeping me in my place (from not being blown away in the devastating winds) was the Lord; His light inside me, that was where the only light was to be found, as if a light from a candle was buried within my body, this is what I saw.

When I woke up I recalled the word preserve the Lord gave me before I fell asleep and thanked the Lord for his mercy and for his desire to preserve me through storms. He is the sure foundation, the solid rock and he will preserve the faithful and all who trust and build their life on Him.  Praise God for his everlasting love.

A classic song, The Solid Rock.

The Solid Rock
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
